Meet William

William Rouse founded Oak Moon Woodworking in Maryland to pursue a lifelong passion for building things by hand. He creates woodworking pieces both on speculation and to custom order, working out of his shop with a focus on time-honored joinery and carefully selected woods.

His speculative pieces reflect his own journey as a craftsman — each one designed and built on his own terms, then offered for sale online. When working on custom orders, William partners closely with each client to design pieces that meet their individual needs and match their personal aesthetic. He specializes in bespoke furniture for the home, as well as custom built-ins like bookshelves and work areas.

Every piece that leaves the shop is handmade with care and pride, and William stands behind each one.
